Jeffrey L. Koenig
North Consulting Services was founded by serial entrepreneur Jeffrey L. Koenig. Jeff grew up in Milwaukee, WI, where he graduated from the University School of Milwaukee. After attending college in Oxford, Ohio, at Miami University, Jeff moved back to Milwaukee where he founded his first business in real estate while working two jobs in the restaurant industry. In the subsequent years, Jeff added to his portfolio by founding, acquiring, or investing in additional businesses in real estate, finance, service, manufacturing, tech, construction, precious metals, and hospitality. In his limited time away from work, Jeff enjoys podcasts, technology, current events, architecture, numismatics, vintage automobiles, furniture (Bauhaus and later), cooking, and dark rum.
The Firm
The small business consulting and coaching market is a sea of failed entrepreneurs, people who “took a class”, bookkeepers adding consulting as an afterthought, and gurus who tell you business is simple and only requires a few hours of effort a week. As a group of seasoned business professionals who continues to own and operate small and medium sized businesses, we know what it takes to be successful, and if we don’t, we will be honest and try to point you in the direction of someone who can assist. We understand how challenging and all encompassing operating a business can be and we will make every effort to be a force multiplier, not a burden.
Small businesses is unique in many ways. When it comes to our relationship with a client, most important is our respect for the resources of time and capital spent on contracting our services. For many, there is no plan B and no line item in your budget for consultants. This is a big spend and you expect quantifiable results. For this reason we take our job and your faith in us very seriously.
While the old adage that “you should work on your business and not in it” can be the solution for some, we often find that this is not always a panacea. From basic operations efficiency to complex strategies, we look forward to discussing how we can help you improve your firm.
